Job Description
- Candidate will join a very productive lab investigating the cause of permanent neurological disability in multiple sclerosis. Studies are clinically relevant. Interactions with MS physicians and MRI imaging scientists abundant. Primary sfocus will be on the role of dura associated lymphatics (DALT) and skull bone marrow in causing a surafce-in gradient of cortical atrophy in MS. Experience in working with postmortem brain tissue, rodents models transcriptomics, bioinfomatics and high resolutions confocal microscopy helpful.

Job Responsibilities:
- Independent project design with the goal of data generation, analysis, interpretation and manuscript preparation
- Primary lead in externally funded research project
- Performance of high resolution confocal microscopy
- Generation and analyses of transcript profiles
- Writing publications as first author
Education:
- PhD or MD/PhD required
- MD with relevant laboratory experience may substitute for PhD
Languages:
- English Proficiency proof required for candidates arriving on J-1, J-2, or F1 + OPT visa status
Work Experience:
- Previous experience in a research or academic setting. Graduate student experience meets this requirement.
- Scientific writing experience

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods

- Ability to lift and transport equipment or specimens weighing up to 20 pounds
- May be exposed to hazardous chemicals, bio-hazards, radioactive materials, etc.

Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $0.01
Maximum hourly: $333,340.26
