Schedule:Monday – Friday, 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experiencedCulinary Services Leadto support the daily operations of our Culinary Services department. In this role, you will work closely with department leadership and team members to ensure a safe, high-quality dining experience for patients, visitors, and staff. You will serve as a key point of contact for resolving operational challenges and maintaining service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support daily operations by resolving service barriers and ensuring smooth workflow.

• Oversee cash, credit, and house account reconciliations; conduct weekly cashier audits and maintain documentation.

• Assist with staff scheduling and shift coverage.

• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of service and dining areas, including temperature validation procedures.

• Lead pre-service meetings and review menus and portion sizes with staff.

• Uphold all hospital and department policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in food and beverage, hospitality, or a high-volume hospital cafeteria setting preferred.

• Previous catering experience is a plus.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Valid Food Handler’s Permit from your local health department (required in IL).

• Certification from an ANSI-accredited food handler training program (or obtained within 30 days of hire).

• ServeSafe certification preferred.

• Food Protection Manager certification (IL) preferred.

Skills & Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong customer service and team collaboration abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer systems.

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management.

• Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
