Summary
The Margaret M. and Albert B. Alkek Department of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) seeks a highly skilled and compassionate Interventional Cardiologist at Assistant Professor rank to join its distinguished faculty and clinical team. The successful candidate will lead the expansion of BCM cardiology at Ben Taub Hospital/ Harris Health and provide expert care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, perform advanced interventional procedures, provide inpatient rounding (CCU and consults), echo reading, STEMI call as assigned, and contribute to the academic mission through teaching and research. This role's primarily practice location will be at Ben Taub Hospital.
The Division of Cardiology at BCM is renowned for its comprehensive cardiovascular care and cutting-edge research, offering advanced treatments in heart failure, structural heart disease, electrophysiology, congenital heart conditions, and lipid disorders. The division consists of 64 faculty and 51 fellows, providing care across Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center (BSLMC), the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, and Ben Taub Hospital.
Minimum Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification/ eligibility in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology.
- Board certified/ eligible in echocardiography
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Interventional Cardiology.
- Eligible for Texas medical licensure.
- Strong clinical and procedural skills and experience in both coronary and peripheral interventions.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork abilities.
